Material Care Guide
Sterling Silver
Is prized for its durability and timeless beauty. Sterling silver can tarnish over time or when exposed to certain products, keep it away from moisture and use a jewelry polishing cloth to restore it to its original shine.
Gold Vermeil
Is 24K gold plating over sterling silver. To prevent tarnishing, use a jewelry specific polishing cloth and avoid harsh chemicals or cleaners. Avoid polishing cream as gold plating can wear off.
14K Gold
Styles are solid gold and should not tarnish. 14K White gold is natural white gold and not plated with Rhodium.
Brass, Pewter & Bronze Pendants
If tarnishing occurs, a soft polish cloth (like sunglass cleaning cloth) will restore shine.
Titanium Pendants
Titanium can be cleaned with a soft cloth dampened with warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly before wearing.
Stainless Steel Pendants
The pendant’s shine can be restored as needed with a cotton cloth to avoid scratching.
Jewelry
- Remove screw/bale/cap from pendant.
- Use funnel to fill to 90% capacity.
- Thread screw/bale/cap back into pendant without glue. Make sure the pendant is not overfilled and properly aligned.
- Unscrew slightly, so a few threads are exposed but the screw/bale/cap is held in place.
- Use toothpick provided to dot glue onto exposed threads, and quickly turn back into alignment.
- Wipe any excess glue (if necessary) and wait 24 hours to ensure bond before wearing.
*All jewelry must be sealed before wearing.
Urns
- Remove screw and cap from bottom of urn.
- Fill baggie (provided) with small amount of cremated remains and close securely. Place the baggie into the urn.
- Ensure that the keepsake urn and bottom cap are clean and fit properly back into place with the screw.
- Before the screw is tight, use a small amount of glue on the toothpick and wipe on exposed threads.
- Quickly turn the screw back in until it’s flush and wipe away any excess glue.
